Check out all our expert NRL tips for Round 8 below:

Game 1 – South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Penrith Panthers, Thursday 20th April, 7.50pm

The Rabbitohs are one of the few teams with the firepower to worry the Panthers. South can be hot and cold but with Latrell and Cody Walker in there have the flair and point scoring potential to really trouble the Panthers. Penrith weren't great against Newcastle last weekend but still got the job done and with Nathan Cleary calling the shots, they are a great team in the last 20 minutes when the game is there to be won and lost. I think this one will be fairly close and like the either team to win by under 6.5 option on Dabble paying $2.75.

Expert NRL Tip: Margin – Either Team Win By Under 6.5

Game 2 – Parramatta Eels vs Brisbane Broncos, Friday 21st April, 8pm

Two of the game’s form teams meet in Darwin on Friday night and this shapes as the game of the round with both teams having amazing firepower and the ability to score long range tries. The Broncos are two and a half point favourites, but I think we will see a high scoring game – particularly in the heat and humidity in the Top End. With that in mind, I like the overs. Even if the first half is tight, both teams will go for it in the second half as fatigue sets in and plenty of points are assured.

Expert NRL Tip: Total Points - Over

Game 3 – Canterbury Bulldogs vs Cronulla Sharks, Saturday 22nd April, 5.30pm

The Bulldogs are going through a tough trot and new coach Cameron Ciraldo is quickly learning that winning games is hard when the injuries set in. The Sharks bounced back to form with an impressive win over the Roosters last weekend and look to have too much class and speed for the injury ravaged Canterbury side. Dally M winner Nicho Hynes was devastating against the Roosters and has his running game going. I think he will really enjoy taking on the Bulldogs, who conceded a mountain of points against Parramatta last weekend, and I like him for an anytime try on Dabble.

Expert NRL Tip: Anytime Try Scorer – Nicho Hynes

Game 4 – North Queensland Cowboys vs Newcastle Knights, Saturday 22nd April, 7.35pm

Twelve months ago, this would have shaped as an easy win to the home side. But a lot has changed in the last year and the Knights are a different team, playing with plenty of spirit and being steered around the park well by new half back Jackson Hastings. The Cowboys don't look anything like the team that stormed into the top four last season yet remarkably are still $1.66 favourites to win. I like the Knights at $2.15 head-to-head on Dabble - that's a great price for a team in form who almost knocked over Penrith last weekend.

Expert NRL Tip: Match Winner - Knights

Game 5 – Dolphins vs Gold Coast Titans, Sunday 23rd April, 2pm

After a whirlwind start to their premiership life, the Dolphins have now lost three out of the last four games and are stubbornly holding on to eighth spot on the ladder, making this a vital Queensland Derby game. The Titans have also been up and down in the opening rounds, and taking all this into account, this a hard game to pick. The Dolphins are $1.70 favourites on Dabble at home, but injuries are starting to cut into their ranks and their depth is questionable. For that reason, I fancy the Titans at $2.15.

Expert NRL Tip: Match Winner - Titans

Game 6 – Wests Tigers vs Manly Sea Eagles, Sunday 23rd April, 4.05pm

Tigers fans are still celebrating picking up their first points of the season last weekend – even if it was for beating the bye. Sadly, their joy will be short lived – I think they are in for a spanking from a Manly team that has grown in leaps and bounds under new coach Anthony Seibold this season. The Sea Eagles were superb against Melbourne last weekend and are looking like a serious top four contender. The bye will have done the Tigers good, but I think the Manly team are way too classy and will cover the spread on Dabble of 11.5 points.

Expert NRL Tip: Handicap – Sea Eagles

Game 7 – Sydney Roosters vs St. George Illawarra Dragons, Tuesday 25th April, 4.05pm

This ANZAC Day clash is traditionally one of the games of the year, played with an Origin intensity with both clubs pumped up by the big occasion and a full house. In an ordinary round, I’d tip the Roosters to win easily against the out-of-form Dragons but on this special day, there is usually very little between the teams.

Expert NRL Tip: Match Winner – Roosters

Game 8 – Melbourne Storm vs New Zealand Warriors, Tuesday 25th April, 7pm

Even when the Warriors are travelling poorly, they are one team that seems to consistently worry the Storm. This season, the Warriors have found a new inner strength with a new coach who seems to know what he is doing and some handy boys. The Storm lost a heap of players over the Summer and for the first time in many years are starting to look vulnerable. Still, it takes a brave man to tip against the Storm in Melbourne and I like the option of Jahrome Hughes for an anytime try. He calls the shots and always backs up when a break is on.

Expert NRL Tip: Anytime Try Scorer – Jahrome Hughes
