Game 1 – Dolphins vs St. George Illawarra Dragons, Thursday 25th May, 7.50pm
State of Origin is always the trickiest time of year for punters with the best 34 players in the NRL missing and this game will be a huge test of the Dolphins’ depth. Not only are they missing Queensland reps Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and Tom Gilbert, but Felise Kaufusi is suspended. The Dragons have just one Origin rep but it is a HUGE out – Ben Hunt. They looked a different team last week after finally ditching out-of-touch coach Anthony Griffin but start as $2.65 outsiders on Dabble and I like that price head-to-head.

Game 2 – Parramatta Eels vs North Queensland Cowboys, Friday 26th May, 8pm
The Eels will only be missing Junior Paulo while the Cowboys have four Origin players despite their 66-18 mauling by the Tigers last week. With all that taken into account, the Eels concede a big 15.5 start but at home, with halves Mitchell Moses and Dylan Brown firing, I think they can overcome that and take the points.

Game 3 – New Zealand Warriors vs Brisbane Broncos, Saturday 27th May, 5.30pm
Great opportunity for the Warriors – they have no Origin reps while the Broncos have four key players missing and half Adam Reynolds racing the clock to be fit. I can see a high scoring game with the Warriors just taking the points, but the best value is over 42.5 points.

Game 4 – South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Canberra Raiders, Saturday 27th May, 7.35pm
The Rabbitohs will be without big guns Latrell Mitchell and Cam Murray, as well as consistent forward Jai Arrow, while the Raiders have just one omission – new Blues hard man Hudson Young. Both sides were warm favourites last week and lost, so both will be desperate not to go back-to-back weeks without a win. The bookies see it as just about even money and I’m going the Raiders -2.5 points on Dabble due to the Latrell factor.

Game 5 – Newcastle Knights vs Manly Sea Eagles, Sunday 28th May, 4.05pm
Two old rivals meet with the Sea Eagles back to form with their fine win in Canberra – but without their main man Turbo Tom and skipper Daly Cherry-Evans, as well as the injured Jake Trbojevic. The Knights have struggled for consistency all season and that reflects in the fact they have just one Origin player - Tyson Frizell. The Knights are hot favourites at $1.35 but I think Manly are great value at $3.20 and definitely worth a lash
